YU Yuphoria was a new smartphone recently launched in India. The phone is a product of Indian brand Microwax. It sports a 5-inch HD display, metal body, Snapdragon 410 quad-core CPU, and Cyanogen OS 12.
Targeted at the PHP sub 5k market, Yu Yuphoria comes as a direct competitor of the Xiaomi Redmi 2. Compared to price, the device carries very innovative hardware, specs and especially high-class design. These make Yu Yuphoria super compelling to consumers.
YU Yuphoria design: “Miracle in Metal”
“Miracle in Metal” – (tagline of the Yuphoria)
Even with the price tag of only PHP 4,9k, Yuphoria appeared as an absolutely well-designed smartphone. For now, the flagship is almost the only one in the PHP sub 5k market that comes with a metal body. It also has a plastic rear case and battery which are both removable.
Yuphoria metal frame features soft edges and rounded corners, which make the 5” display phone super easy and comfortable to hold and use with one hand.
Coming in two colors, Buffed Steel with black cover and Champagne Gold with white cover, the YU Yuphoria will go on sale on May 28 via Amazon.
YU Yuphoria price
The YU Yuphoria price is Rs 6,999, which is PHP 4,880.
YU Yuphoria drawback
Attractive as it may seem, it is normal for a product to have some imperfections. Take the display for example, although the Yuphoria’s 720p display produces nice colors, its screen is highly reflective, which could be a problem when using under sunlight.
