Yahoo Newsroom is a home of 200 categories, called Vibes, coming from many prestigious sources such as BuzzFeed, The Wall Street Journal, NPR and Yahoo itself. When users download the app for the first time, they can customize their experience by selecting the topics they want to follow. With a variety of choice, people can subscribe to topics such as finance, lifestyle, beauty, entertainment… The more Vibes you add, the more your newsfeed will change, depending on the things that you’re interested in.
Once users complete their selections, the app will take them to a personalized newsfeed to read. It also supports users by allowing them to like and post comments on content. Additionally, they can like individual comments, or reply to others’ comments directly. If users have any interesting articles and want to share them, they can do that on Yahoo Newsroom accompanied with their thoughts about the topic. This app will be a good place for readers to discuss with others people on any trending topics.
Furthermore, users can search for articles by typing keywords in the app’s Explore tab. All articles containing key words will be showed for users’ choice. Also, if someone feel that they do not like this Vibe anymore, they can unfollow it and easily change to another one.
