Xiaomi shipped over 100 million smartphone units in first three months of 2015
In order to celebrate the 5th anniversary, Xiaomi introduced their 5 new products for the event. While people feel really excited with the news so far, now Xiaomi make a big bag when announcing that the company shipped over 100 million units in first three months of the year.
The announcement was made by the company’s CEO, Lei Jun, on the Xiaomi official Chinese blog. He also said that the next five years will be very important to Xiaomi. Because the competition in the next five years will be fierce due to the rapid growth of domestic and foreign competitors as well as the entry of new players in the technical industry.
Previously, Xiaomi said that they plan to sell about 100 million units in whole 2015. But now, Xiaomi have right to be proud that they not only don’t even surpass their initial expectation but also make a overwhelming surprise. In 2014, the company shipped almost 70 million units which means Xiaomi sold over 30 million units within the first three months of the current year to exceed its 100 million sales goal. They also emphasized that the sale report even be higher if not for capacity or availability issues.
Before, Xiomi attended to sell about 15 million Xiaomi Mi Note in 2015, but it highly looks like the result is extremely much better. The Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro were only launched January this year but they paid too much attention and love from users. The phones of course pack top-of-the-line features and specifications partnered with very affordable price tags which is Xiaomi’s signature style, especially Xiaomi Mi Note Pro. Besides, Xiaomi also announced two special editions of the Mi Note to fit various demand, the Ladies Edition and Bamboo Edition, which features a pink design and a natural bamboo rear panel, respectively.
