Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review (SND 625)
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has generally been viewed as a very competent smartphone in its range. Recently, the version with SND 625 was just released in India. So, let’s have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review with this version!
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review (SND 625)
Earlier, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with the Helio powered chipset was released, and it earned a lot of praises. It has high-quality design, offers great performance, and the battery lasts a long time. Xiaomi is known for using different SoC for different markets, and Redmi Note 4 is no exception. The SND edition of the phone was just released in India not too long ago. Without further ado, let’s have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review for this version!
On the front, it remains largely the same as its Helio X20 counterpart. It still has the all-metal exterior, with the 2.5D edges on the front glass. The screen stays the same, 5.5″ 1080p, as well as the main camera of 13MP with phase detection autofocus, and 5MP selfie shooter. Under the hood, it has the octa-core 2.0GHz SND 625 chipset, and options of 2,3 or 4GB RAM, which offers great performance, and in real use, it preserves battery better than the Helio X20. There is 32 or 64GB of storage, expandable by up to 256GB. There is a fingerprint sensor as well. One highlight among Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 specs is the battery, as it has a whopping 4,100mAh capacity!
However, for all those good aspects, there are some downsides to the phone as well. First of all, the phone only comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, which is not the latest OS. It is unclear whether we can update higher. The next one can be considered minor annoyances only, but the battery is non-removable. Also, Redmi Note 4 uses a hybrid DualSIM/microSD slot, which may limits your options a little bit. Finally, this phone does not support Quick charge 2.0 or 3.0, only the standard old 5V/2A. That means it will take a while to fully charge your phone.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (SND 625): Still worth buying
After the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review (SND 625), we come to the conclusion that this phone is worth buying, despite its drawbacks. It offers great performance, while can last longer than the Helio X20 version. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 price in India starts from Rs. 9,999. What do you think about this phone?
