Five days ago, the Xiaomi device codenamed M1804C3DE made its appearance on TENAA website. From the design and specs revealed, it was expected to be the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 6. Earlier today, a new entry appeared on the Chinese regulator’s website, a slightly bigger phone showed up on this site. Based on the design, it is most likely the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Plus, which is similar to what we expect for the successor of Redmi 5/5 Plus duo.

According to our sources, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Plus specs include a 5.84” screen with the Full HD+ resolution. Moreover, the display comes with a notch on top of the front bezels, which shares the 19:9 aspect ratio. Besides, the Redmi 6 Plus/Pro dimensions are 149.33 x 71.68 x 8.75 mm and its weight is 178 g. If the source is legit, this Xiaomi phone would be the first handset of Redmi series to have a notch, following Mi 8 flagship.

Under the hood, the Redmi 6 Plus is coming with an octa-core CPU clocked at 2 GHz, which is believed to be either the Snapdragon 625 or the newer Helio P60. Moreover, the Xiaomi phone storage comes with various options with 2GB-16GB, 3GB-32GB, and 4GB-64GB for RAM and ROM respectively. Also, the room would be expandable to 128GB/256GB depending on the card. Notably, we can expect the handset to be the Pro/Plus variant due to the optics department. In details, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Plus camera gives a dual 12MP+5MP rear snapper, instead of a single sensor as its brother. Also, the Xiaomi phone comes with Android Oreo 8.1 (based MIUI 10) and a 4000mAh battery.
