Xiaomi sets launching date for their Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus today with low prices available. After revealing images of their smartphones couples, AliExpress has just listed the devices on their website for reservation ahead of launching date. Previously, Xiaomi has announced Xiaomi Redmi 5 to launch along with its brother Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus in December. In details, Xiaomi Redmi 5 introduces a 5.7” screen with HD+ resolutions of 1440 x 720 pixels. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus specs include a bigger 5.99” screen with FHD+ resolutions of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Besides, Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus owns a 4000mAh battery, which is bigger than 3300mAh battery of Xiaomi Redmi 5.
For the hardware, Xiaomi Redmi 5 specs come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. Meanwhile, the Plus brother gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. Moreover, Xiaomi Redmi 5 features 2GB/3GB RAM with 32GB ROM, and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus stores 3GB/4GB RAM with 32GB/64GB ROM. These couple storage is expandable to 256GB, while both devices run Android Nougat 7.1 out-of-the-box.
For the cameras, Xiaomi Redmi 5 sports a 12MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus packs dual 12MP+5MP rear cameras with apertures of f/1.7. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus gets an 8MP selfie snapper with an aperture of f/2.0, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi 5 selfie camera of 5MP with an aperture of f/2.2.

According to Xiaomi, both Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi 5 release date is on the same day December 7, 2017. However, before launch date, AliExpress lists both devices on shelves for pre-sale reservations. In details, Xiaomi Redmi 5 price tag starts at $199 (~ Rs. 12800) for Black and Gold and $209 (~ Rs. 13500) for Pink and Blue. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus price falls around $249 (~ Rs. 16000).
