In details, the Mi Play would be the electronics giant’s first handset to sport the waterdrop notch display. Ahead of the upcoming launch, Xiaomi has officially released a few high-resolution images of the Mi Play. Following the previous teasers, the new images reveal a lot of design, aesthetics and some specifications of the Mi Play.

According to some trusted sources, the new handset could be a rebranded POCOPHONE POCO F1. On the other side, smartphone buyers might have another capable handset with a very aggressive price tag. Furthermore, the Mi Play would be available in three storage configurations in China. Besides, Xiaomi Mi Play specs offer 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage for the base variant.

Meanwhile, the middle variant features 6GB of RAM with 64GB of onboard storage. Most interestingly, the top-end configuration equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. All of the variants support expanding to 256GB via a microSD card slot. From what we learned so far, the new Xiaomi smartphone would launch in Black, Dream Blue, and Dawn Gold colors. Besides, the images indicate the presence of gradient with altering color and shimmer effect. Under the hood, the Mi device sports a 5.84-inch TFT display with the resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, the pixel density of 432ppi and contrast ratio of 1500:1. Also, there would be the octa-core 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio P90 chipset. Whereas, Xiaomi Mi Play camera is going with a 12MP rear sensors and an 8MP front shooter. Moreover, Xiaomi phone packs a 2900mAh battery, alongside Android Oreo 8.1.
