Xiaomi has just quietly launched the new variant of Mi Max with 4GB RAM, 128GB ROM and CPU updates in India yesterday. The former version of this phablet was unveiled in May, 2016.
Xiaomi Mi Max Prime: advanced specifications
Xiaomi Company has quietly launched a new version of Mi Max – a huge display phone released in May this year. The new version is called Xiaomi Mi Max Prime with advanced CPU and Memory. Interestingly, without any official events or press releases, Xiaomi Mi Max Prime was silently launched in the three-day Diwali sale in India. Most of Mi Max specs remains, which includes big 6.44-inch Full HD screen, 16MP back camera and 5MP front camera and a 4850 mAh battery cell.
The key improvement is the CPU of Xiaomi Mi Max Prime. The original version is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 with Hexa cores. The Prime version got an upgraded processor a Snapdragon 652 chips with octa-core. Besides, Mi Max Prime packs a 4GB RAM with 128GB memory whilst the first version has 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB options. Both models can be expandable to 256GB ROM via microSD card. Up to now, only the version with chipset Snapdragon 650, 3GB RAM is available worldwide.
During the Mi Max launch in May, 2016, the Chinese company announced that there would be a variety of options including the Snapdragon 650/652, 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of inbuilt storage. And this new variant is not only a promise fulfillment of the company but also a better choice for users who want a cheap, powerful phone with a giant screen.
Xiaomi Mi Max Prime: Price and Availability
Xiaomi Mi Max Prime price is about $300 (Rs 20000), which is higher than Mi Max’s ($225 = Rs 15000). There are no details about this new model region availability except for India.
