Xiaomi Mi A1 is finally getting the long overdue Android Oreo
Previously, Xiaomi has delayed the A1’s upgrade during the rollout due to many complaints about unresponsiveness camera and applications. Moreover, there was also some bug problems with the fingerprint sensor, frozen dialer, recent app and ambient light sensor, which is way back in January. Now, it’s the appropriate time for the Xiaomi to get the Android Oreo update. But, Xiaomi still hasn’t announced a specific timeline for the OTA release.
In any case, our sources indicate that Xiaomi is running a Beta testing version of the Android Oreo update along with June 2018’s security patch. This means that the OTA should come within a couple of weeks, probably towards the end of May. In 2017, Xiaomi has introduced another new member of their mid-range line: Xiaomi Mi A1. In details, Xiaomi Mi A1 specs sport a 5.5-inch LTPS IPS LCD (1080 x 1920 pixels resolution).
Under the hood, this Xiaomi handset takes power from a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset and 4GB RAM. Regarding the storage, the Xiaomi Mi A1 has 64GB ROM, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. Regarding the photography system, Xiaomi Mi A1 camera includes a dual 12MP (f/2.2, 26mm, 1.25 µm) + 12MP (f/2.6, 50mm, 1 µm) primary snappers. For selfie fans, there is also a 5MP (1080p) secondary shooter. Besides, the Xiaomi handset rocks a 3080mAh battery box.
