Xiaomi Mi 8 to Arrive with iPhone X Face Scanner, 8GB RAM and more!

After many days, Xiaomi has finally confirmed to hold an event in Shenzhen (China) to introduce their latest flagship. Notably, we have expected to meet the Xiaomi Mi 6’s successor – Mi 7 at this event. However, a new report suggests another great line-up. In details, we are going to see not one, but two Xiaomi handsets at the Chinese brand’s upcoming launching. Notably, to celebrate their 8th Anniversary, the Chinese manufacturer can introduce the Xiaomi Mi 8 flagship alongside the Mi 7!

Regarding the Xiaomi Mi 8, we can safely expect that it is going to come with the popular notch display, similar to the Xiaomi Mi 7’s design. Moreover, the Mi 8 flagship is going to equip a 3D structured light technology. As a result, the Xiaomi flagship can provide the same face recognition feature similar to the iPhone X. Unlike the traditional facial recognition, the Xiaomi Mi 8 3D structured light technology is more secure and can also apply for the mobile payments.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi 8 is going to run on a 2.8GHz Snapdragon 845 processor based on 10nm LPP process using Kryo 385 architecture. Furthermore, there is also a version with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 flash memory. On the other hand, the Xiaomi handset would sport a 6-inch AMOLED display with QHD resolutions of 2560 × 1440 pixels. Besides, the Xiaomi handset comes with a 4200mAh battery with fast-charging support. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 8 camera includes a dual 20MP+12MP rear sensor. Meanwhile, the front sensor has a 24MP lens. Lastly, the Mi 8 has the latest Android 8.0 Oreo with MIUI 9 on top.
