Xiaomi Mi 7 MIUI source reveals in-display fingerprint reader, 8GB RAM!

Previously, we have come across many reports about Xiaomi applying the in-display fingerprint trend in their next flagship. We have thought that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is going to have this feature. However, the Chinese brand has confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S has skipped the new security scanner. On the other hand, many fans are expecting the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 to include the in-display fingerprint. According to industry chatter, Xiaomi has delayed the flagship release to accommodate the new technology.

Today, we discovered a couple of Xiaomi Mi 7 MIUI code which can help confirm the suspicion. There was a total of two Xiaomi Mi 7 MIUI code: “dipper” and “dipper old”. Notably, the new “dipper” code contains references to fingerprint sensors sourced form Synaptics and Goodix, along with variables, such as “goodix_fod”.
