Xiaomi Mi 6S launch today?
As mentioned above, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer might be working on a new variant of the Mi 6. According to what we learned so far, an unannounced smartphone with the model name Mi 6S has been spotted on the popular Geekbench benchmark database. In details, the smartphone is running on the latest Android 9 Pie operating system. Whereas, the Mi 6S Geekbench listing reveals a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835.
However, the Snapdragon 835 was a flagship mobile chipset last year and powered many popular Android flagship smartphones in 2017. While the chipset may not be comparable to 2018 flagship chipsets, the processor manages to deliver impressive performance. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi phone managed to score 1,830 points in the single-core test, and another 6,944 points in the multi-core test.
Also, the Mi 6S Geekbench listing reveals the smartphone equipped with 6GB of RAM. Besides, the device caught on Geekbench running on Google’s latest Android 9 Pie software platform. Regarding Xiaomi Mi 6S specs, the handset sports a 6,34-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. Furthermore, the Xiaomi mobile provides 128GB/256GB storage variants, which is expandable to 256GB. Also, Xiaomi Mi 6S camera works on dual 16MP+5MP camera on the rear and a 16MP front sensors. Moreover, the device sets up with a 3900mAh battery box.

Earlier, Xiaomi is likely to launch the Mi MIX 3 and the Mi Note 4 at its launch event in China on October 15. Besides, there is a good chance that Xiaomi may launch it alongside the Mi MIX 3 and Mi Note 4 smartphones on Monday. As a result, the main highlight at the October 15 event, will be the Mi MIX 3, while the Mi 6S might come later around November. At the time, Xiaomi Mi 6S price might cost around Rs. 25, 880.
