Xiaomi Mi 6 Lite to launch with SND 660!

Xiaomi recently has launched its newest flagship, the Mi 6, which has been one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year. It is truly a powerful phone, one that is worth buying. However, one obstacle is that the Xiaomi Mi 6 price is significantly more expensive than its predecessor, the Mi 5. Xiaomi Mi 6 has a price tag of 2,499 yuan (~Rs. 23,389), while Mị price was only 1,999 yuan (~Rs. 18,710). As you can see, there is a significant increase in price for the new flagship.

However, new reports have come in, speculating that Xiaomi is indeed making a lesser version of Mi 6. It will be called Xiaomi Mi 6 Lite, and it is expected to carry some downgraded specs from Mi 6, although they would be still very decent. Moreover, this new device will carry a cheaper price tag compared to Mi 6. Recently, Qualcomm has announced a new chipset, the SND 660, for mid-range smartphones. The Mi 6 Lite is expected to pack this SoC under the hood, which will not be bad at all. After all, SND 660 is considered as the SND 835 for mid-range smartphones.

Previously, reports said that the Xiaomi device carrying the new SND 660 would be a Redmi phone. However, it may now also be the Xiaomi Mi 6 Lite. Other Xiaomi Mi 6 Lite specs are also quite good as well. The SND 660 processor would likely have octa-core CPU, with Cortex-A73 and A53 cores, and Adreno 512 GPU. It is also slated to feature a 24MP main camera up front as well. For now, that is all the reports have mentioned about the new Mi 6 Lite.

As it looks, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Lite will be a great option for those who don’t want to splash money on the Mi 6. Xiaomi Mi 6 Lite price is expected to be 1,999 yuan (~Rs. 18,710). What do you think about this phone, if the reports are true?
