Actually, Foldable and flexible smartphones are the holy grail of mobile device makers. This is not a dream anymore, we may start to see foldable smartphones from this 2017 to upward. Samsung and Nokia were 2 of the biggest company interested in this area of manufacturing flexible phones, Now we just heard that Xiaomi foldable phones are on the way to make the market more competitive.

We do not actually so many details on these Xiaomi foldable devices, but we will tell you that they have owned a patent which can permit them to start the production of their flexible phones. “The likes of Samsung and LG have already proven how screens can be flexible, solving that part of the puzzle”. This is why Xiaomi got interested in acquiring its own patents in order to manufacture its flexible handsets and wraparound screens.

This patent they received came from the State intellectual property office, must probably be in China. The next foldable Xiaomi devices will be an all screen and back covered smartphone, We don’t really know if it can totally be wrapped, but the Chinese giant said that its gonna be a foldable device which can rotate around the Axis. And Xiaomi said that it’s thinking to line up its flexible devices with the Mi Mix series with some narrow screen bezels.
