According to our sources, a mysterious new Xiaomi smartphone with codename ‘Berlin’ just placed on Geekbench ahead of the Mi Mix 2S. In details, the device is listed with Android 7.1.2 Nougat, and the hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz. As expected, Qualcomm would launch three new members of the Snapdragon 600 series this year. However, the 632 model hasn’t been mentioned by many reports so far.
While we are waiting for the latest update for SD632 chipset release later this year, let’s check out the Xiaomi Berlin performance. In details, Xiaomi Berlin scores 1155 in single-core tests and gets 2738 in multi-core performance. Further, Xiaomi handset single-score score is higher than ones running 630 chipsets (HTC U11 Life) while multi-core scores are further less. Meanwhile, the handset ship with 3GB RAM, which is likely to be an affordable Android mid-ranger.
As of yet, there are no other details about the handset. However, the operating system likely enhanced the company’s MIUI implementation. Also, the current OS suggests that Xiaomi Berlin would be a pre-production unit or a prototype with the strange scores of performance. As a result, we can expect Xiaomi’s 2018 offerings would ship with Oreo-based MIUI.
