As we are getting closer to the end of the year, the game industry is gearing up for enormous year-end sales. Xbox Live Winter Sale is one of those, and it will begin this week!

Just like last year, Microsoft will have a “Countdown” to its year-end sale this time. According to the company, this year’s Xbox Live Winter Sale will be the biggest in the entire history of the Xbox Store, with discounts on a variety of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. This is truly the anticipated event when we are coming towards the end of the year.

The Xbox Live Winter Sale will begin on December 22, and will continue for 19 consecutive days. January 9 2017 will be the last day of the event. Throughout the period of the sale event, there will be numerous discounts, even huge ones, for a lot of games, movies, TV shows, and more. The announcement video below hinted that there will be about 350 deals available, a big increase from 200 plus deals the previous year.

About the games, Microsoft has not yet revealed the lineup yet. However, they have confirmed that some of this year’s biggest releases, including Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield 1 – the most anticipated game for the holiday, and Watch Dogs 2. We can also see from the reveal video that there will also be Dead Rising 4, Gears of War 4, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2, Skyrim: Special Edition, etc. Furthermore, more than 40 backwards compatible games will also be discounted! Last but not least, Microsoft will offer Xbox Live Gold membership for only $1 monthly, but only for new members only.
