Wassup on PricePony: smartphone events of Week 2 – Dec 11

This week, we are approaching closer and closer to “the best time of the year” – holiday season. Therefore, smartphone producers are starting to launch and introduce their best smartphone devices to the market. Let’s take a look back at the whole week event to see what we have seen in the past days.

1. Oukitel K10000 launched with 10,000 mAH

Earlier, we have known many smartphones that feature very huge battery capacity, as big as 4,000 and 6,000 mAH. But never did we expect a smartphone battery to be as large as a whole power bank – 10,000 mAH. Recently, Oukitel has officially introduced their power beast – the Oukitel K10000 smartphone. Besides the huge battery, the phone comes with 2GB RAM and 8MP camera for a very affordable price tag of USD 240. Visually, the Oukitel K10000 design looks really firm and impressive too. This is an ideal device if you need a long lasting handset to work for several days without charging.

2. Asus Zenfone Max 5,000 mAH ready to hit the store

Asus Zenfone Max was introduced earlier in mid-2015. However, back then, besides some specs, we knew nothing much about this Asus smartphone. Only until this week did we get more information about Asus Zenfone Max road map of release and more of its official design. Since Asus is now a very strong brand in the market, their power beast Zenfone Max, with 5,000 mAH, 2GB RAM and 13MP camera will definitely gain some good attention. Asus Zenfone Max price, estimated for now, will be around USD 180 – USD 250.

3. Huawei introduced G8 – their latest 3GB RAM smartphone

We all know that Huawei is the King among Chinese smartphones nowadays. And recently, they has launched a mid-ranger smartphone, Huawei G8 aka Huawei G7 Plus. The phone caught our attention with a very nice and slim metal body and some favorable features for a USD 350 price tag. Huawei G8 specs are: 3GB RAM with a Snapdragon 615 chip set, 32GB internal storage, dual SIM, 3000 mAH battery and a 13MP Sony camera

4. Long-awaited Xiaomi Mi5 spotted with impressive Antutu score

Xiaomi Mi5 is the long rumored and long awaited smartphone by one of our favorite Chinese producers of all time : Xiaomi. However, this week, finally some more leaking about the phone showed up, hinting a soon release of the flagship. According to sources, Xiaomi Mi5 was spotted on Antutu Benchmark with an impressive result, reaching almost 100K points, leading far ahead of the current record keeper Meizu Pro 5.

5. iPhone 7 leaked in many rumors

Although iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S have been launched not long ago, iPhone 7 has been leaking over the internet in multiple rumors the past few weeks. We have heard about a change in Apple’s use of display, many switching to OLED for their next generation of iPhone. Next, rumors suggested that Apple is testing not 1 but 5 different prototypes for the mobile. Those are hinting that iPhone 7 may be even waterproof and comes with an enhanced camera sensor on the back. Especially in this week, our sources said that, seems like after skipping iPhone 6c, Apple will bring back this affordable variant for iPhone 7 – iPhone 7c for 2016 is being predicted to cost around USD 400 – USD 500.

6. Nokia Zeno – concept phone with stunning transparent design

Ever since Nokia comeback 2016 was confirmed, we have read and heard about many different Nokia phones, potential to be produced next year. This week, we discovered Nokia Zeno, a concept design for now, with aspiring 41MP Pureview for selfie, and a stunning design with clear glass on both sides, giving it a transparent body.

7. 7 best looking smartphones of 2015

Also in this week, we picked up the best looking smartphones of the year. Most of them have slim, firm, and beautiful metal body. Some come with their brand’s signature screen corner, or curved screen instead of the traditional flat one. The best thing we like is that, these 7 beasts don’t just only look good, but they also feature some of the most popular and advanced features we know.

8. Top Android smartphones with 4G LTE for USD 150

4G LTE is much needed in smartphones nowadays. Since more and more people look for smartphones of the mid-ranger and lower price groups, we introduced a list of top Android smartphones that both support 4G LTE and cost from USD 150 and below.
