Vivo Y81 launch in Taiwan
According to our legit sources, the Vivo Y81 has been popping up in some certification websites for the last couple of weeks. Today, the device finally launched in Taiwan arriving with mid-range specs. In details, the Vivo phone features almost the same hardware as the launched in May Vivo Y83. However, there are some slight differences regarding memory configuration. Let’s check out Vivo Y83 specs in the following paragraph.
Under the hood, the Y81 comes with the well-known Helio P22 SoC with an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz. As for the storage, the Vivo device paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Fortunately, Vivo Y81 supports microSD expansion to 256GB. On the other hand, the handset comes with 6.22-inch, 19:9 HD+ display alongside the resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels.
Meanwhile, as you’ve probably noticed, there is a notch on the top. Moreover, there houses a 5MP front sensor supporting the face unlock feature with an aperture of f/2.2. Furthermore, the back of the phone still has a fingerprint reader. On the other hand, Vivo Y81 camera also includes a 13MP unit with a f/2.2 aperture on the rear. Besides, the device is powered by a 3,260 mAh battery with fast-charging support. Also, the handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with FunTouch OS 4.0 on top.
Vivo Y81 release date and price
As expected, it is already available in Taiwan for TWD 4,990,000 ~ $219 but no word on international availability. Meanwhile, since it has passed the Eurasian Economic Commision (EEC) certification in Europe, we could probably see the new Y81 as on the Old Continent as well.
