After the Vivo S17, the Chinese brand is back in the mid-range race with the launch of a new handset: ViVo Y78+. Firstly, the Vivo phone comes with a large display of a 6.78″ AMOLED panel (20:9). It also has FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for great color rendering. Moreover, the handset hits 1,300 nits at maximum. For the design, it sports a curved screen that we often see on premium Vivo phones.
There is also the under-display fingerprint scanner on the front, with a dual-camera setup on the back. Under the hood, the device takes power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset. For storage, Vivo now offers this handset in two RAM options: 8GB and 12GB. They also have two ROM choices of 128GB and 256GB (no card slot). How about the software? The device has the Android 13-based OriginOS 3.
The vivo Y78+ camera packs a dual 50MP (f/1.8 lens with OIS) and a 2MP depth sensor on the back. Meanwhile, it has an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie lens on the notch up front. Moreover, the Vivo handset carries a 5000mAh battery box with 44W charging support. You can also use headphones through the USB-C port or go wireless through its Bluetooth 5.1 modem.
