Vivo Xplay 5 and Xplay 5 Elite launch: Best flagship duo ever!
In the very first day of March, Vivo released their superphones called Vivo Xplay 5 and Vivo Xplay 5 Elite at a special event in China. Actually, there are some changes compared to previous rumors. You need to note that there are two different models and the 6GB RAM device is not the Xplay 5, but Xplay 5 Elite. Anyway, it does not change the fact that Vivo is the one producing the world’s first 6GB RAM handset.
As for Vivo Xplay 5 Elite specs, it comes with an all-alloy body protected by Gorilla Glass 4. On the front, you will see a dual-curved 5.43-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD screen which reminds us of Samsung Galaxy edge machines. Under the hood, a Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with Android 5.1 Lollipop, whooping 6GB of RAM and 128GB of non-expandable ROM. Besides, the Elite also sports a great 16MP Sony IMX298 rear camera with PDAF plus dual-tone LED flash, an excellent 8MP selfie snapper, a dual SIM, LTE network, Hi-Fi 3.0 tech, a pretty good 3,600mAh battery.
The other phone is Vivo Xplay 5, equipped with the same design but lower-end hardware and more affordable cost. Specifically, Vivo Xplay 5 specs are not very different from the Elite, yet its chipset and RAM capacity are downgraded to Snapdragon 652 processor and 4GB of RAM. Though, the Xplay 5 is still a strong competitor on the shelves, right?!
Vivo Xplay 5 price and availability
According to the source, Vivo Xplay 5 Elite price will be 4,288 Yuan or $655 when it is launched in China on March 8, 2016 along with its sibling, Vivo Xplay 5.
