Recently, FIFA and Vivo have announced a partnership for the upcoming World Cup tournaments in Russia and Qatar. Previously, we have already seen the Vivo X20 FIFA World Cup Edition launched in December at the group draw. Now the successor Vivo X21 UD will also be available in exclusive colours and branding.

In addition, this latest flagship of the Chinese manufacturer will arrive in two colour options: Tibetian Blue and Victory Red; celebrating the flag colours of the host nation Russia. There is also a logo of the tournament and fancy pattern on the back of the phone. Aside from the visual transformation, the phone doesn’t have much change in terms of specs.

In details, Vivo X21 World Cup Edition specs pack a large 6.28-inch Super AMOLED screen with resolutions of 1080 x 2280 pixels and a notch on the top. On top of that, the Vivo device gets power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. In addition, Vivo X21 sports 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM that can be expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card. Moreover, for the battery box, this Vivo X21 variant packs a non-removable Li-Ion 3200mAh juice box. Under the hood, the new Vivo phone runs on FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo as the operating system. Furthermore, the Vivo X21 World Cup Edition camera features a dual 12MP+5MP snapper on the back. Meanwhile, the selfie shooter sports 12MP with an aperture of f/2.0.

Vivo X21 World Cup Edition release date and price

The Vivo X21 World Cup Edition will become available to consumers starting May 22. The standard device costs CNY3,598 ~ $572, which is likely to be the same as Vivo X21 World Cup Edition price. However, Vivo will most likely gift this exclusive version phone to players or officials and may not deliver it to the market at all.
