On March 21st, Vivo released the X21 device which is a full-screen smartphone with an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Today, the company announced that the Vivo X21 system update is now available with a focus on enhancing the fingerprint recognition experience. The update log shows that it will improve the phone’s fingerprint recognition processing logic as well as the security and efficiency of fingerprint recognition module. In addition, Vivo X21 also added new features such as AR-based emojis called Funmoji, optimised the driving setting with more comfortable driving experience.
At the system level, the latest update showcases the status bar icon layout, displays more elements; maximized the system resource scheduling mechanism, and improved the system operating efficiency. Now, let’s look at the phone’s specs again. In details, Vivo X21 specs pack a large 6.28-inch Super AMOLED screen with resolutions of 1080 x 2280 pixels and a notch on the top. On top of that, the Vivo device gets power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. In addition, Vivo X21 sports 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM that can be expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card.
Moreover, for the battery box, the device packs a non-removable Li-Ion 3200mAh juice box. Under the hood, the new Vivo phone runs on FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo as the operating system. Furthermore, Vivo X21 camera features a dual 12MP+5MP snapper on the back. Meanwhile, the selfie shooter sports 12MP with an aperture of f/2.0.
