Vivo NEX first look
Prior to the poster revealed yesterday, a video showing the full design of the phone has surfaced online today. We can confirm that Vivo NEX first look is the same as it appears in the poster: an all-screen display without a notch or unnecessary bezels plus a pop-up front-facing lens. There is a bit more of a chin than we hoped though. Regardless, this phone is one of the very first genuinely all-screen devices, preceding the current trend of notching the display to house the sensors up-front.
The pop-up selfie cam gets a right amount of screen time in the video, with many of the contestants staring at it gently sliding out of the top of the device. There’s a rumour that Vivo will also release another version of the NEX without the pop-up camera but instead move it to the chin. There’s also no fingerprint sensor on the back of the device because it’s going to be underneath the display.
The video doesn’t show the fingerprint sensor in action, but towards the end when the actor is yelling about the phone, you can see the fingerprint icon near the bottom. Besides, there’s also a headphone jack, making the Vivo NEX quite possibly the perfect smartphone. In terms of the Vivo NEX specs, it includes a 5.99-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The device might take power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM (expandable up to 256GB). On top of that, Vivo NEX camera equips with an 8MP pop-up selfie lens while the rear sensor features a dual 24MP snapper. Besides that, this phone runs on Android Oreo and rocks a non-removable 4000mAh juice box.
Vivo NEX release date and price
The Chinese brand might debut this device on June 12th, 2018. As for the cost, the Vivo NEX price starts at $1, 091 ~ Rs. 73, 992 for the premium edition, and $779 ~ Rs. 52, 832 for the standard edition.
