Vivo Apex mass production on June 12 with pop-up selfie camera!!!

Recently, our sources have reported that Vivo is holding an event in Shanghai, China on June 12. In details, there were promo materials sent out by the company which clearly depict a smartphone very much like the Apex concept with the pop-up selfie camera. Moreover, at the MWC event this year, the company also mentioned that the Apex would enter mass production sometime in mid-2018. As a result, we believe that this event is the introduction of the market-ready version of the Vivo Apex.

For other Vivo APEX specs, it sports a 98-percent screen-to-body ratio. In addition, the device features a slide-out front-facing camera mechanism. The feature activates when you decide to take a selfie, and switches to a front-facing camera in the camera app (in only 0.8 seconds). Meanwhile, OLED display is an earpiece with a third of the display functioning as an under-display fingerprint scanner, instead of a limited area.

Besides, the Vivo Apex features a 5.99-inch fullHD+ OLED display. Meanwhile, the APEX demo’s top and side bezels around the display measure only 1.8mm, while the bottom is just 4.3mm. Moreover, the APEX packs a two-finger scanning mode (together, not sequentially). Vivo has a new Screen SoundCasting Technology, which vibrates the entire screen to produce the sound like a speaker. There has been yet any information related to the Vivo APEX release date. However, as mentioned above, we expect the phone will go into mass production on June 12, 2018.
