Late 2017 is full of LG and Samsung. However, those two were not the only ones to launch flagships. Today we bring you our list of five underrated high-end smartphones that didn’t receive as much attention as they should have.
1. Xiaomi Mi 6
Xiaomi has taken their affordable high end (read more bang for less buck) strategy to a new level with the Mi 6. The phone got a 5.15-inch screen, but it renders at full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution. So the smaller screen ended up giving high pixels/inch density which result in a sharper image. Quite a good pay off as far as optimization goes.
On the inside, the handset has some serious hardware. The Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset model 835 runs the device, so there is no questioning the processing speed. The Xiaomi Mi 6 RAM sports 6GB with 64 or 128GB storage option. Moreover, there is a dual 12MP resolution sensor for the primary camera and 8MP sensor for the front ones. And if that isn’t good enough, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Price is only EUR 400 (~Rs. 30,560).
2. OnePlus 5
Here we have another flagship that takes the affordable approach. The OnePlus 5 features a 5.5-inches AMOLED screen that comes in full HD resolution. Inside, you will find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset running the device. This smartphone is the case in which One-Plus-5 equals more than six (1+5>6, pun intended). At least as far as RAM is concerned because there are two memory options: 6GB RAM/64GB storage or 8GB RAM/128GB storage. The OnePlus 5 Camera features 16MP dual cameras on the back and single cam in the front.
3. Meizu Pro 7
Now if you are into innovative technology, you are going to like the Meizu Pro 7. Right off the bat, you will notice the secondary screen on the back of the phone. Because one 5.7-inch, super AMOLED, QUAD HD (1440x 2560 pixels) screen in the front isn’t enough apparently. If that is still not innovative enough for you, this device is the first to have the Helio X30 chipset running a 10-cores CPU. So that makes the Meizu Pro 7 phone the fastest phone on the list.
4. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2
The first phone of the Mix line was very well received. This year Xiaomi brings us the successor to the line. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 release date will be announced in the debut event on September 11th in Beijing. According to the leaks, the device features a 6.2-inch AMOLED screen. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset runs the 8-cores CPU. Memory comes in two options: 4GB RAM/128GB ROM and 6GB RAM/256GB ROM.
5. ZTE Nubia Z17
Of the five on the list, this device probably is the most well rounded. To be specific, The ZTE Nubia Z17 sports a 5.5-inch full HD screen, a Snapdragon 835 chipset and a massive 8B RAM. But there is another version with 6GB RAM in case you don’t need the extra 2GB. Both versions have two storage options: 64 and 128 GB. The front camera measures 23+12MP while the frontal has 16MP. The ZtE Nubia Z17 battery can hold 3200 mAh once fully charged. So all in all, this phone gets pretty much everything right as far as specs, battery, and camera are concerned.
