It is time to review what Xiaomi smartphones have been launched since the beginning of 2016. They are all equipped with good hardware and prices…
1. January: Xiaomi Redmi 3
Xiaomi Redmi 3 was launched and available for sale in January. Design-wise, the handset sports an all-metal body and a textured rear panel like what you can see in the picture, like “the stars in the night sky.” And there are 4 color options for you to choose: Gold, Dark Gray, Silver, and Classic Gold. Which one do you like most?
As for Xiaomi Redmi 3 specs, it boasts 2GB RAM with 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor, a dual SIM, and MIUI 7.0 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Xiaomi also equips this budget flagship with a decent pair of cameras: 13MP on the back and 5MP on the front. Though, the most significant thing about the Redmi 3 is its gorgeous 4,100mAh battery for 3 days of using without charging. Cool, rite?!
2. February: Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro
This is a more advanced variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 released in November 2015. Instead of MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, the machine uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. Furthermore, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro specs offer 4G+ network, Voice over LTE (VoLTE), and two choices over RAM and ROM capacity: 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB. The rear snapper is also upgraded much to 16 megapixels with 0.1s ultra-fast PDAF while the battery is only improved a bit, capable of 4,050mAh. But, still awesome, huh?!
3 + 4. March: Xiaomi Mi4s and Xiaomi Mi5
They almost debuted together but while Xiaomi Mi4s has already been available for sale in some markets, we are still waiting for Xiaomi Mi5. Though, don’t worry! Just a few days are left before the machines are officially shipped. They will not let consumers down since their designs as well hardware are excellent. Basically, Xiaomi Mi4s specs contain a 5.0-inch Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 808 chip, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM (+ 128GB), a 13MP/5MP camera combo, MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, and a 3,260mAh battery supporting Quick Charge 2.0. 5. April: Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro
Not long ago, Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro was announced with some great enhanced features compared to the original Redmi 3: a fingerprint sensor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. For the rest of Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro specs, there are a 5.0-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 616 chipset, a 13MP/5MP shooter set, a huge 4,100mAh cell, a dual SIM, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and 4G LTE network like the Redmi 3. Besides, Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro price has also been unveiled at RMB 899 (or $140) and it will go on sale starting from April 4, 2016. Don’t forget!
6. Coming smartphones: Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Xiaomi Redmi 3A
So, apart from the above devices, there are other Xiaomi products to debut in the rest of the H1 such as Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Redmi 3A. At the moment, some leaked info about them has showed up, giving us some initial ideas of what they’re gonna be. For the Mi Note 2, it is said to come with many variants powered by Snapdragon 820/823 processor, 4/6GB RAM, 32/64/128/256GB ROM. For Xiaomi Redmi 3A, it is claimed to lack the interesting plaid design of the Redmi 3 and pack 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM, a big 4,000mAh battery, a dual SIM, but no fingerprint scanner. It is definitely a budget model. Anyhow, we should wait for the firm’s announcement.
Well, those are top Xiaomi smartphones introduced in the Q1 and at the beginning of the Q2 of 2016. More will come and we guess Xiaomi will keep surprising us! Let’s wait and see!
