Top dual-camera smartphones for May

From single core processors to dual & multi-core processors, from single SIM to dual SIM, smartphone has come a long way to step up to the advance level of technology. And it even make one step closer by advancing the camera feature from single camera to dual camera. Here is our objective opinion about top 9 smartphones with dual camera.

1. Honor V8

The Honor V8 has 2 versions: the 4GB RAM – 32GB storage model with 5.7-inch full-HD and the 4GB RAM strorage model with 5.7 inches Quad HD. The V8 sports an Octa-core Kirin 950 SoC coupled with Mali T880 GPU, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow system with Huawei’s EMUI 4.1. V8 is capable of 3,500 mAh battery, come along with fast charging.

The Huawei Honor V8 features a dual rear camera with 12MP on each one. Both cameras have dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus, BSI sensor, and 6-element lenses with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, we have a 8-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. With the 4GB-32GB version, the Honor V8 price is $350. And the price for the top-end version 4GB-64GB is $439.

2. Honor 6 Plus

Another product from Huawei, Honor 6 Plus for sure is the first phone with dual 8MP rear camera with LED flash. With this phone, you can easily add filters, refocus on certain areas or even adjust aperture after you took the shot. It aslo sports 8MP front-facing camera. The Honor 6 Plus has a 5.5″ 1080p Full HD display with 3600mAh battery. It’s powered by Octa-Core KIRIN 925 CPU and runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat. This Honor 6 Plus comes with 3GB RAM and with either 16/32GB inbuilt storage. If you want, you can expand more up to 128GB via Micro SD.

3. Starmobile Knight Spectra

This is the first Philippine smartphone with two camera standing side by side at the back- the all new Starmobile Knight Spectra. The dual camera allows you to take photos and then change the point in focus later (re-focus). One of the dual camera is 13MP, while the other is only 2MP. A 8MP camera is also on the front. Between them is an LED flash. The Knight Spectra sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with full HD resolution, 3,500mAh. Powering the Spectra is Qualcomm’s octa core Snapdragon 615 processor, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM with a microSD card up to 64GB.

4. LG Optimus 3D

LG jonied the dual camera smartphone market with the LG Optimus 3D. The Optimus 3D smartphone launch was in 2011. This Optimus 3D runs on Android 2.2 (updated to 2.3 Gingerbread) OS and Dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP4 processor. It sports a 4.30-inch touchscreen display with a 1500mAh non removable battery. This phone is equipped with 512MB RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The LG Optimus 3D packs a 5MP for the back cam and a 0.3MP for the front cam.

5. Huawei P9

Huawei’s new flagship smartphone for 2016 is here. The P9 has a pair of Leica-certified cameras on the back. The 5.2-inch P9 has a traditional 12MP camera, and right next to it is another, monochrome 12MP module. There’s also an 8MP front-facing camera, which is a fairly high spec for a selfie cam. Huawei P9 use 5.2 inch Full HD IPS dislplay, Kirin 955 octa core processor, Android 6.0 system. The P9 has 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM with an expandable storage via microSD, up to 128GB, and 3,000 mAh battery.

6. LG G5

LG is back with the other dual-camera smartphone G5. There’s some G5 specs:  5.3- inch Quad HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallw OS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 32GB ROM (+ 200GB) , 4GB RAM, 2,800mAh Li-Ion battery (removable) and quick Charge 3.0. The LG flagship seems to have a strong set of camera consisting of an 8MP selfie cam and a dual rear one (16MP f/1.8 + 8MP f/2.4) with laser autofocus, OIS and LED flash.

7. LG X Cam

It seems like that LG is really interested in presenting the dual camera smartphone. After LG optimus 3D and LG G5, LG X Cam is the third smartphone with this feature. The phone comes with a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels, 2520mAh removable battery. This X Cam is powered by 1.14GHz octa-core, runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has 2GB , 16GB inbuilt storage which can’t be extended. The X Cam has a pair of  13MP camera on the rear and a 8MP front-facing shooter for selfies. There are two icons in the camera app that allow you to select between a normal shot and a wide angle shot.

Top dual – camera smartphones for May

Those are the 7 newest handsets with dual camera we have recorded. In the list, there’re 3 smartphones from LG, the other 3 come from Huawei. It seems like that they’re having a little dual-camera battle right now.
