Ready to raise a new Tamagotchi on your smartphone?

Releasing with the name My Tamagotchi Forever, this game features many vibrant new characters than their pixelated predecessors. For the new edition, all Tamagotchi starts at “Tamatown,” home to other cutesy inhabitants that you can make friends. Your main mission? Similar to the original game, you need to take care of your Tamagotchi daily. Furthermore, you need to complete the daily task like feed it, wash it, entertain it, and apparently clean up after it.

Since the game is coming on your smartphones, be prepared for lots of notification. You can expect to get pinged on your mobile every time the Tamagotchi wants attention. Just like the old game, neglecting to its need and you could wind up with a sulky ogre. Meanwhile, you can join mini-games that will earn you coins to unlock items, such as food, costumes, and decorations. Oppositely, you could skip the hard work and purchase their skips up to save time.

My Tamagotchi Forever is a free-to-play game, which means that this version will likely include microtransactions. The new Tamagotchi game will be available on both iOS and Android, appears to have already soft launched on Canada’s App stores this November.
