Samsung is the main manufacturers to provide the suitable hardware and chipset.
The future of cryptocurrency mining

Blood Flow Patterns: Innovative Technology From Samsung to Unlock Your Phone
Recently, Samsung has come up with a new method of securing your smartphones by using blood flow patterns. Check it out for more information!
Samsung’s latest technology identifies users by using their Blood Flow Patterns
After bringing fingerprint scanner and iris scanner to smartphones, Samsung is going to bring one more security system using blood flow patterns. Previously, Samsung has already brought a heart rate sensor on their Galaxy S and Note series. According to the patent of Samsung, it is titled “Real-Time Authentication Based on Blood Flow Parameters”. The patent describes a method to identify users by blood flow patterns in the finger or in the wrist.
This means of security might be more reliable and safe to protect your smartphones from hackers. Besides, the patent also displays that both smartphones and smartwatches are using this technology. The smartphones house this sensor on the back, where we mostly find the fingerprint scanner. This blood sensor records the blood flow data to generate a waveform pattern for the authentication.
However, this new software has to take into account the change in the blood pressures due to user’s physical and mental status. It would be fascinating to see how Samsung can tackle this blood flow variability. We expect that Samsung might also be working on laptops to apply this innovative security system for authentication.
When will this security system be shipped with gadgets?
The availability of this new technology on devices is still unclear now. There is some information that Samsung Galaxy S9 might come with this technology as well as its latest confirmed “Intelligent Scanner”. At the moment, the most innovative system is belonging to Apple FaceID of iPhone X. Can Samsung beat Apple with their new advanced development with unlocking features? Low Apple iPhone X shipment slow down Samsung OLED business!
Apple iPhone X is receiving a poor shipment this year with only 29 million unit sold. At the moment, Samsung OLED Business is facing some troubles due to the sale of Apple iPhone X. Take a look below for more details!
Low Apple iPhone X demand slows down Samsung OLED business!
Last year, the market attention focused only on Apple iPhone X with some innovative advancements. Soon, the smartphone community lost their interest due to some significant problems of this flagship. In the latest reports, Apple only shipped 29 million units of Apple iPhone X. On the contrary, last year, Apple had succeeded to sell around 78,3 million iPhones 7 in only one quarter. The poor shipment of iPhone X does not only poorly influence Apple but also the giant Samsung manufacturer as well.
Samsung, the Korean tech giant, is the sole OLED supplier of Apple. Right after the report of iPhone X poor sale, Samsung is decreasing the production rate of one OLED factory by 10%. Furthermore, this manufacturer is also postponing the expansion plans in Vietnam due to the uncertainty of Apple flagship future. According to a report, “the A3 plant is specifically designed to supply panels to Apple only. Unless supplies to Apple do not recover, it is unavoidable for Samsung to see weaker earning this year”.
Furthermore, in another report, Apple is going to launch 2 LCD and 1 OLED smartphones this year. However, this move of Apple does not help Samsung at all since Apple might LG as the primary supplier for their 5.85” and 6.46” screen.
The Future of iPhone
At the moment, another subsidiary of the Korean company, LG Chemical, is working on an L-shaped battery plant. We expect this battery box is about to ship with future Apple iPhone. The mass production of the power cells might start this year. Stay tuned!
Xiaomi beats Samsung to become the top smartphone manufacturer in India!
In the latest Counterpoint’s reports, Xiaomi has surprisingly surpassed Samsung to become the number one smartphone manufacturers in India for Quarter 4 2017! Scroll down to check out more details on this report!
Xiaomi is now the top smartphone brand in India in Q4 2017!
Yesterday, two market research companies – Canalys and Counterpoint released their insight report on India’s smartphone segment in 2017. According to Canalys, the India smartphone market increased 6% last year, reaching a total of 30 million mobile shipments. Surprisingly, the Chinese brand takes the lead this time with 8.2 million units. As a result, they have managed to surpass the giant Samsung with only 7.3 million devices.
Together, Xiaomi and Samsung dominated the India smartphone category with more than 50 percent total market shares in India. In details, Xiaomi owns 27 percent share, on the other hand, Samsung has 25 percent of the shipments. Moreover, Vivo, OPPO and Lenovo follow after at the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. It looks like all these Chinese smartphone brands have had a great year.
Regarding Xiaomi’s achievement, Canalys’s Research Analyst Ishan Dutt has shared his idea. “Their results are praiseworthy since they entered the market just three years ago. Also, multiple factors have contributed to the company’s growth. But the key reason lies in the autonomy that it granted its Indian unit, letting it run the business locally. Localization in channel strategy, marketing and products have been evident in Indian operations.” On the other hand, the report also stated the reason behind Samsung’s declined. Their loss comes from its incapacity to develop their low-cost product portfolio. The Korean brand has been unable to win over consumers, losing market share in the sub-INR15,000 (US$240) segment to Xiaomi quarter after quarter. Notably, Xiaomi is currently ruling this sections with their Redmi series.
Will Xiaomi continue its success in 2018?
In 2018, Xiaomi is planning to release more handsets in India market, from the mid-range Mi 6X to the flagship Mi 7. Moreover, other Chinese brands such as Huawei or Vivo are also aiming to push more products to the market. Will Samsung be able to regain their top position? Or Xiaomi is going to dominate the India market again? What do you think? Drop a comment to let us know!

Samsung and Apple under investigation for planned obsolescence!
Recently, the Italian Competition and Market Authority (AGCM) has begun the official investigation against Apple and Samsung. In details, they are claiming that these two smartphone manufacturers are now reducing the performance of older phones intentionally (planned obsolescence). While Apple issue isn’t new, the accusation comes as a big surprise for Samsung. This Korean brand has publicly stated that they don’t slow down their smartphones.
In details, Italian Competition and Market Authority received many consumer reports claiming the opposite. They are putting the exact charge that both brands are reducing the performance of old products to encourage people to buy new models. This action is done through a software update in all handsets. However, the big problem is that they didn’t inform the users about the consequences of doing this action.
Furthermore, the AGCM is going to carry out the investigations in collaboration with the Special Antitrust Unit of Guardia di Finanza. On the other hand, Samsung has denied the accusation in their latest statement. Moreover, they “do not provide the software updates to reduce the product performance over the life cycle of the device.
