Huawei has announced a protection plan partnered with OneAssist – a mobile insurance company – for all Honor and Huawei devices on Amazon, especially in India. For now, the protection plan is available to the Huawei P20 Pro, P20 lite, and all Honor smartphones line. Interestingly, this new development comes just days after Huawei’s rival – OnePlus announced complimentary one-year damage insurance from Servify. Notably, Xiaomi also competes with its competitors to collaborate with OneAssist and offer Mi Protect programme in India.

The protection plans are supposed to cover any kinds of accidental and liquid damage to devices, including accidental drops. Customers will also gain some benefits such as free pick up and drop-in, 24/7 on-call assistance, and cashless claim service. In light of this event, P Sanjeev – Vice President of Huawei India – gave a statement: “Having collaborated with one of the pioneers of smartphone protection and assistance, OneAssist, we strive to provide consumers with unmatched services. We are confident that this association will be fruitful and provide unparalleled, innovative services to our customers.”
