According to a twitter leakster named Roland Quandt, he believed that the Mate 20 Lite would arrive with two variants. To be specific, there are two different code names Sydney M + Sydney I. He also speculates that the alterations will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and an in-display.

All this information is based on the source he got about the phones’ accessories. However, we don’t think that Huawei will put this current new tech on the budget Mate 20. Also, if it follows the footsteps of last year’s Mate 10 Lite with the LCD panel, this wouldn’t allow the incorporation of the under display fingerprint reader. So in the end, we are guessing there might be a good old-fashioned fingerprint scanner on the chin of the phone.
