You may feel disappointed when Huawei P9 did not show up at MWC 2016. But don’t worry, it is said to be officially introduced this month…
Huawei P9 is ready? Check out what we’ve got so far!
As we know, Huawei did not introduce their flagship P9 at MWC 2016 perhaps because the company was not ready enough; they want a big event for their star. And since the handset is still a secret, we still see many leaks spread on the internet. The latest reliable one is that Huawei P9 will sport a metal frame, a dual rear camera setup, a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint scanner placed on the back.
Furthermore, not long ago, some renders were spotted, showing a device featuring a 2.5D curved screen on the front. The borders seem very slim and the power button and volume controls are built in the P9’s right side. Moreover, we’re pretty sure that the phone will be available in gold, white, pink and gray. Those are some main points about Huawei P9 design. How about its specifications?
Accordingly, Huawei P9 specs will include a Kirin 950 chip, 4GB of RAM and a 5.2-inch display to be basic. Besides, there are also rumors saying that the P9 will come with other variants such as a cheaper Huawei P9 Lite and a phablet Huawei P9 Max. Though, they have not been confirmed by the manufacturer yet. So, let’s wait and see!
Huawei P9 price and availability
A few days ago, Huawei released a new teaser, claiming that the maker has prepared a launch event held in Berlin, Germany on March 9, 2016. Unfortunately, we do not know what they will bring there exactly. Hopefully this Huawei flagship 2016 will debut this time with a reasonable price, say, around $400 or so. What do you think?

Huawei P8 Lite is not new, but the news is that million units of this model have been delivered so far, in its hometown China and a lot of countries around the world…
Huawei P8 Lite – Small device brings huge success to the company
The flagship Huawei P9 has been leaked for a while and attracting tons of people due to its anticipated powerful hardware and gorgeous design. However, the main reason for the P9’s fame is in fact originated from the success of its predecessor Huawei P8 and variants. Released last year, Huawei P8 series did and is still doing well no matter how hard it is to compete with other excellent smartphones on the shelves.
The evidence is that recently, Huawei’s announced they shipped over 10 million P8 Lite machines globally. This makes it account for about 60% of the whole Huawei P8 series shipments (which are over 16 million units of P8, P8 Lite, and P8 Max in total), and 10% of the firm’s 108 million smartphone shipments in 2015. Though “shipped” and “sold” are not the same thing, it’s a good sign showing that the demand for P8 Lite is definitely high, and Huawei will know more about their consumers’ favorites.
Let us recap a bit on Huawei P8 Lite specs. It sports a handy 5.0-inch HD screen, a dual SIM, Emotion 3.1 UI based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS, a HiSilicon Kirin 620 octa-core 1.2GHz chip, 16GB ROM (+ 128GB), and 2GB RAM. Besides, the handset is fueled by a 2,200mAh battery and equipped with a 13MP rear and a 5MP front-facing camera.
Huawei P8 Lite price and availability
At Huawei P8 Lite launch, Huawei P8 Lite price was 1,588 Yuan or $240. Nonetheless, it’s been months and lots of handsets have debuted. Therefore, we bet Huawei P8 Lite will cost less now and you can find one very easily in local stores. OK, now tell us what you feel and think about this Huawei’s new star!

Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus with huge batt: Xiaomi Redmi 3’s new rival
This time, Huawei will introduce a remarkable handset with a huge battery. It seems to be aiming at Xiaomi’s recent products, especially Huawei Redmi 3. It is called Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus and another piece of good news is that the phone will come along with the already official Huawei Honor 5X, announced in October 2015. Well, you may know the 5X clearly, but the Holly 2 Plus has just been leaked with a picture as the one below.
Its predecessor is Huawei Honor Holly, launched in 2014, and was a lower-midrange machine. However, you can totally look forward to more enhanced features built in the Holly 2 Plus. Many expected Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus specs are a handy 5.0-inch HD IPS screen, a combo of a 13MP rear and a 5MP front-facing camera, a dual SIM, a fingerprint scanner, 4G and CDMA support, and Android OS underneath Huawei EMUI skin.
Moreover, the whole device will probably be powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable) and an impressive big 4,000mAh battery to enable your phone to last about three days. If so, the Honor Holly 2 Plus is definitely a strong rival to the Xiaomi Redmi 3. Do you agree?
Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus price and availability
As we mentioned above, Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus launch will occur at a special event in New Delhi, India on January 28, 2016. Though, its price tag is till a mystery. Basing on the anticipated specifications, we guess the company will list the handset in the sub $200 category in order to compete effectively with other affordable, powerful models on the shelves. What do you think?

Huawei Mate 8’s top specs revealed: A TRULY BEAST of the market
This afternoon, Huawei held a press conference in Shanghai, China to officially launch their new flagship Huawei Mate 8. In general, this is a stylish edge-to-edge phablet featuring the latest Kirin processor produced by the company. Yet, the more important point is that it is equipped with a set of many top features in the world at the moment. This is such a powerful gift from Huawei to consumers this Christmas.
So, everything is clear now. Huawei Mate 8 specs include EMUI 4.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a big 6-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass, a Kirin 950 chip (featuring four Cortex-A72 and four Cortex A53 CPU cores), 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal storage. Huawei P9 Max: 73,000 Antutu with 4GB RAM and 2K display
So, when the beast Mate 8 of Huawei has not come yet, we have good news for another Huawei Phone Beast. It is called Huawei P9 Max. According to Huawei, Huawei P9 Max launch is likely to happen on 26 November, 2015….
Huawei P9 Max Design
Though we still have some more days to go the Huawei P9 Max BEAST phablet from the Chinese giant phone maker its Antutu score and specs have been leaked on the internet. Check them out! Accordingly, Huawei P9 Max specs include a 6.2-inch 2K display with 486 ppi, an octa-core Kirin 950 chip (which is the newest one made by Huawei) paired with GPU Mali-T880 MP4, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. In general, we can see that is is smaller than its predecessor Huawei P8 Max (equipped with a 6.8-inch screen).
Yet, it is surely more powerful in terms of display resolution (P8 Max only comes with Full HD) and operating system (P9 Max will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box). Although there are some specifications still unclear about the upcoming smartphone of Huawei, we are quite impressed by its AnTuTu score: 73,759 points generally and 16,822 points for the 3D graphics. It can beat a lot of flagships on the market now but.
With 6.2″ 2K Display, Kirin 950 Octacore Chip and 4GB of RAM, the Huawei P9 MAX is truly Huawei’s new Smartphone Beast. Now the only question is at what price will Huawei sell their latest 62″ Flagship Smartpone?
Huawei P9 Max price and Release Date
Actually, they are still mysteries but it will not be so surprising if Huawei P9 takes up the Huawei P8 Max price, which is 3,788 Yuan (about $590). As for the Huawei P9 Max launch, it is said to be held this month and the handset will go on sale in December. Anyhow, let’s wait for the company’s official announcement.
Huawei Mate 8 to power Kirin 950 chip set with crazy Benchmark scores
Crowned as the best Chinese smartphone producers, Huawei is doing really well with their Kirin chipsets in powering higher-end smartphones. However, the Chinese King doesn’t seem to be stopping at where they are. The company is working on the next generation, the Kirin 950 to launch for their upcoming flagship Huawei Mate 8, expected to release later this November 2015.
Kirin 950 – rival to Exynos 8890
The Kirin 950 has been said to be the direct rival to Samsung’s Exynos 8890 used for Galaxy S7 and Snapdragon 820 rumored for Xiaomi Mi5. It is also believed to be more powerful than Apple A9 on iPhone 6S.
When we take a closer look at the Kirin 950, it seem that rumors are not exaggerating much. The latest chipset made by Huawei is actually quite impressive. Huawei have used the 16nm FinFET process to produce the Kirin 950 in order to utilize flip transitors. The Chinese King also promises a 40% increase in performance and 60% decrease in power usage. Wow!
Kirin 950 and its technical figures
In terms of technical figures, the Kirin 950 is an octa-core CPU, using high-power Cortex-A72 cores with the speed of 2.53 GHz. This helps provide the harmony between powerful performance and reasonable battery consumption. The Kirin 950 also features a small i5 co-processor. Compared to the previous generation i3 core, the i5 helps your smartphones stay strong and smooth all the time.
Although its a bit early for us to know about the Kirin 950 performance figures, their company did reveal the chip set’s AnTuTu points as a teaser before release. According to that, Kirin 950 scored almost 83 000 points on the famous Chinese benchmark. The result is so good it can easily impress any user. If everything goes right, we will have the Huawei Mate 8 flagship smartphone launched soon. With what we know so far about the Kirin 950 chip set, it is absolutely expected that the Mate 8 by Huawei will be a powerful handset.
Kirin 950 and Huawei Mate 8 launch
It is not very official yet, but very possible that Huawei will launch their Mate 8 beast on November 26. Let’s wait for a couple of weeks more to “meet” this latest product by the Chinese King of smartphone!
Huawei Mate 8 with Kirin 950 launch in November – Galaxy Note 7 rival?
As we know, Huawei has been developing a new chip called HiSilicon Kirin 950, which is said to be powerful with the latest benchmark score exceeding the score of Exynos 7420 of Samsung and even Snapdragon 820. And important news is that Huawei is going to release this processor on 5 November, 2015 along with a flagship smartphone. We guess it can also be the strongest device on the market this month.
Kirin 950
– Single-core test: 1,909 points
– Multi-core test: 6,096 points
Exynos 7420
– Single-core test: 1,486 points
– Multi-core test: 4,970 points
On the other hand, recently, we have seen a teaser by the company.
We think that the 5 November event is just for the chip itself and the handset has to wait until 26 November 2015. You would wonder what it is, right?! From the teaser, we immediately figure out that it has to be Huawei Mate 8, the successor to Huawei Mate 7, not Huawei Mate S as many people thought.
This time, Huawei Mate 8 specs will include the gorgeous Kirin 950 chipset and according to Huawei CEO Yu Chengdong, a speaker at the Huawei Watch launch event for Vogue in Shanghai, it would be the Huawei equivalent of the iPhone 6S Plus. That is so promising!
Apart from that, Yu added the Huawei Mate 8 launch together with Huawei Mate S were expected to exceed their 100 million units sold goal for the 2016 fiscal year. This announcement seems to be drawing a lot of people’s attention though we do not know more about detailed Huawei Mate 8 specs as well price. But, it is predicted that the Huawei Mate 8 price will range from $400 to $550 (RM1,720 to RM2,370). In addition, Richard Yu claimed that he has been using the Mate 8 for the past few weeks and he was sure its camera and display would become the main selling points of the device.
To recap, Huawei is leading the smartphone market in China and they may also want to be in the top of the world, too. With the Kirin 950 and Huawwei Mate 8, it is probably they will be able to do it. Just wait a bit more!
