The Nintendo Switch is finally on sale since March 3, and its reception is really good. There are also a lot of games for the device now. However, there is a serious Switch problem, and Nintendo is trying to fix it!

Since the launch of the Switch, Nintendo has received a lot of positive feedbacks for the device. It was so anticipated that the first batch of pre-order was sold out. Many games were released for the Switch too, namely the new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (take a first look at the game here). For the most part, players are happy with the Switch. However, like with any new devices in the market, issues will come, and there is one big Switch problem that Nintendo cannot ignore!
There are some isolated small issues, such as deal pixels on screen, or major visual malfunctions, but they are not widespread. However, the real Switch problem is that of the Joy-Con, the device’s special new controllers. Many players have reported that the Joy-Con gamepad frequently loses connection with the Switch. Usually, it will disconnect in a middle of a game, which will cause understandable frustration for players. If you are fighting a boss in the Zelda game, and the controller loses connection mid-fight, it’s highly likely you will lose the fight.
Nintendo themselves have admitted this Switch problem. The company has issued a message on its support page, stating that it is investigating the problem. Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime shared that in the last few days, they have asked customers a lot of detailed questions about the disconnection issue. What is the next step for Nintendo, we do not know for now. A mass recall seems unlikely, but an software update seems more the possible solution.
