Some alleged renders of a successor to the Xperia XA has shown about a month ago. It gave us some slightly change in hardware. Let’s see!
Sony Xperia XA surface leaked
About a month ago, we got some alleged renders of a successor to Xperia XA. Rumor said that it could be hardware design of the next device from Sony, which could be named as Xperia XA 2 or Xperia XB?! Today, we get more photos from the same renders from last month. However, those photos are in quite low quality, it could be snapped from an unreleased promotional video.
Today render gives us more images about the surface as well as its edge. The lack of a wide power-key shows us this model leaves out the fingerprint scanner, the microUSB port has been replaced with a USB-C connector, and there are at least three color combinations shown: red, purple, and a navy blue option. The positioning of proximity and light sensors is mirrored on the alleged photos (just like the renders) compared to those of the Xperia XA proper. Also, there’s a slit at the bottom of the screen, which could indicate the return of stereo speakers, at least for this Xperia model.
As reported on the XperiaBlog, Sony may unveil two new smartphones at World Mobile Congress 2017. It is called as the code name Sony G3112 (G31XX) and the Sony G3221 (G32XX) and one of them might be the Xperia XA that we have seen its render today. Thet will use the MediaTek Helio P20 MT6757 chipset, which features a 2.3 GHz quad-core and 1.6 GHz quad-core combination and runs Mali-T880 graphics. The Sony G3112 is expected to use a 720p display whereas the Sony G3221 will use a 1080p display.
Xperia XA: Availability
There is currently no official word as to when Sony will launch the devices. However, it is likely that it will be unveiled at MCW 2017, which takes place on Feb 27 to March 2 in Barcelona.
