It is tradition that there would a sale period at the end of the year for Steam. For a while, People have speculated when will the Steam Holiday Sale happen. Recently, Paypal, a rather surprising source, has come to put that question to rest. The payment company has shared that the Steam Holiday Sale, also known as Winter Sale, and sometimes Christmas Sale, will start this week. So, get your wallet ready, PC owners, because you can expect Steam to have the biggest discounts this time of the year!
Of course, this confirmation is needed, but it actually came as no surprise. A while back, some people have caught a message Valve was sending out to developers, stating that a big year-end sale will happen on December 22. That sale is certainly the Steam Holiday Sale. Now, thanks to Paypal, we know that it’s legit. It also falls on the same period of time as previous years, so everything adds up.
The confirmation was a tweet from Paypal’s UK account earlier. The peer-to-peer payment company wanted you to retweet to get the date, but you already know that. As expected, the sale period will run from December 22. It is not stated when it will end, but it could be early next year. Previous sales usually ended on January 2. There was a similar report coming from the developer-only Steam group that confirmed that to be the end date as well. We shall wait and see!
