Sony caught huge attention from IFA 2015 held in Berlin, Germany yesterday for announcing their 3 latest devices: The Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium. It was already very noticeable since the first information about the Xperia Z5 specs was spotted. In addition, prior to the big show IFA, we shared a leaking video clip of the Xperia Z5 Premium with very appealing design.
As the brand new Sony Xperia smartphone series were announced, we got to know finalized specs from them. Some we would like to emphasize is the Xperia Z5 camera with 23MP sensor and super fast 0.3s auto focus. The Xperia Z5 Premium is another vedette which features the first 4K display on a smartphone ever.
Awesome as they may seem, we are afraid Sony has forgotten that after all, users are very realistic and their first concern will always be the price tag. The 4K display Sony Xperia Z5 Premium price in Europe is a hefty £699, which is equivalent to PHP 50,000. If you are cool with FHD display, then the Xperia Z5 is there with a slightly “more friendly” price tag of £600 (around PHP 43K) and the Xperia Z5 compact is priced at £549 (PHP 40K).
Wow, money, Wow. We know that Sony is such a huge brand and they are offering very extraordinary specs this time for their new Xperia series smartphones. However, PHP 50K for a smartphone? I really don’t think it is a good choice for many of us. Would you rather pay a hefty check for a handset or get a less premium one with a much more affordable price?
How much are you willing to pay for a smartphone? And what specs do you want to buy the most? Your other concerns? If you share with us either here or on our fanpage, it is very likely that we will feature your suggestion on our blog to help you make better choice before buying.
