Although there has been no confirmation from the company, a British retailer has claimed to have the main specs along with Sony Xperia XZ3 pre-orders gone up online. Keep reading for more details!
Sony Xperia XZ3 pre-orders website
Recently, a British online retailer claims to have the key specs of the device along with the official pricing for the UK. And there’s even a page open up for pre-orders that actually works. Still, it seems a bit sketchy considering the Xperia XZ3 is due for release in September. Anyway, let’s assume the source is legit. The listing reveals some of the main specs, which are in contrast to what we’ve heard so far.
According to it, Sony Xperia XZ3 specs include a 5.9-inch QHD+ screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels. Then again, Sony has never had a QHD screen on its phones. That’s why most of the specs on the pre-order page are straight up taken from the Xperia XZ2 except for the camera system and the battery capacity. Rumour has it that the upcoming Xperia XZ3 will obtain the 19MP + 12MP camera configuration from the Xperia XZ2 Premium.
So we believe the listed cameras are most probably accurate. As for the battery, we see an incremental update (from 3,180 mAh up to 3,240 mAh). Meanwhile, the source also mentions a small decrease in the thickness of the phone, down to 10.1mm. You can check our previous report of the Xperia XZ3 specs HERE.
Sony Xperia XZ3 release date and price
The online store now takes pre-orders and the final Sony Xperia XZ3 pre-orders retail price is €849 ~$988 for the 6GB variant. That’s quite the heavy price tag and comes pretty close to the current top-shelf flagship from the company – XZ2 Premium. We suggest you take this news lightly as it’s way too early for a phone that isn’t close to being announced to be on pre-order.
