Sony Xperia XA review: poor display yet awesome cameras
Xperia XA is one of the affordable devices of Sony. So, is this phone worth your $280? Let’s have a look at our Sony Xperia XA review of display and cameras to find your own answer!
Sony Xperia XA review: disappointing display for a flashy look
At MWC 2016, Sony surprised everyone with their new-looking product: Xperia XA. This phone showed up with an all-in-one metal uni-body. Besides this mighty look, it also has a bezel-less display design. The edge to edge + metallic design, this combination makes the phone even more flashy than ever. However, the screen is not as good as the design. Its 5-inch screen only comes with the resolution of 720p.
Packing an HD display means the pixels density is only about 293 ppi. This number is quite low for a 5-inch smartphone. And this causes the unimpressive colors and not so bright display. However, according to some users, this HD display won’t prevent them from enjoying the phone. This is because of Sony technology – Bravia. This technology will offer the perfect colors balance.
One more disappointment of Sony Xperia XA is the lack of fingerprint sensor. While most of the smartphones nowadays have this feature, this Sony handset misses it. This can be the inconvenience for some users. Instead of your finger, you have to type a password to unlock your phone for using Android Pay. It is more time-consuming.
Sony Xperia XA review: camera
Cameras are the highlights of Sony Xperia XA specs. Its 13MP camera will give you correct and vibrant colored pictures. With decent exposure, you don’t have to worry when posting pictures on Instagram or Facebook. In low light condition, your photos nearly won’t get any noise. However, to get this, the phone will take more time to take enough light. So, keep your hand steady, or you will get blurry pictures. Besides, its 8MP front cam is also really good with well-exposed shots. Like the main cam, it will take a little more time to capture pictures in the dark.
