Sony sold over 2 million PS4 consoles during Black Friday!
Great news for Sony, as they have been reported to have sold over two million PS4 consoles over the Black Friday weekend. That is an impressive number, and certain Sony will not mind. It is also incredible, considering that the newer PS4 Pro has just been released recently. It has shown that the older PS4 is still in demand a lot. So, Sony do not have to worry about the PS4 consoles being obsolete in the near future.
The statistics were gathered by Ubisoft UK’s event specialist and team leader, Sunny Sanghera. He has confirmed it via Twitter. His duties include data collation and analysis, making sales and marketing presentations, team management, etc. The exact number of PS4 sold has not been stated by Sony yet. After the Black Friday, the Cyber Monday is next in line. So, it’s highly likely that sales of the PS4 consoles will be even higher. Sony could also give their statement regarding the sale of the device soon, after the event has ended.
In Sony’s most recent financial statement, it is stated that 47.4 million PS4 consoles have been shipped to retailers by September 30. Going back further, in May, Sony has shared that over 40 million devices have been sold to customers over the world. The recent addition of the PS4 Pro has helped boosted the PS4 line by three times in UK. PS4 line sales overall have gone up 204% for the week ending November 12. So far, everything is going very well for Sony with regards to their console.
PS4 consoles sale: Good sign for Sony
Achieving such number in sales is definitely good for Sony. Hopefully, the company will give us better devices in the future!
