Android smartphones particularly, or smartphones in general, is a big part of our daily life nowadays. But what happened back then before the smarpthone era? These facts will give you either nostalgia or great surprise

Phone battery used to last for weeks

Believe it or not, smartphone battery is one of the most popular problems found among Android users nowadays. And back before Android smartphone era, people never had to worry about their power cell. Although the capacity used to be very small, like sub 1000 mAH, a feature phone can last up to days, or even weeks if you don’t use much besides calling and texting. (And you also don’t have much to do on these phones besides calling and texting either).

Time is changing our world quite considerably. And Android smartphones we know today, with hundreds of cool apps and features, is a gadget many of us can not leave without. A smartphone is not just a calling machine, yet a flashlight, music player, camera, calculator, note pad and so on. Therefore, we use it almost in every minute and the battery is drained out faster than ever. This also explains why, back in 10 years ago, no one would ever think of the production of the so-called powerbank we are all now familiar with.

People didn’t like touchscreen

Nowadays, we can’t think of a mobile without a touchscreen. But prior to 2007, before we had Android smartphones, no one ever liked such a feature. There was absolutely a reason behind it: all touchscreens back then were no more than a disaster. It was not fast and didnt come with multi touch points like the one we have today. Instead, people had to aways use to poke with a stylus pen and wait for forever till the action is taken.

Nokia was the biggest thing

It would not be parallel to compare Nokia with anything right now. Back then, Nokia was like the whole magical world when people talked about mobile phones. Not only do they have hundreds of designs and models to choose from, but they also offer incredible quality and amazing durability. One more interesting thing that many of you may already know is that: the Snake game by Nokia is the most popular mobile game ever produced. Who used to love making that snake eat the square?

Phone was unbreakable

Did you just talk about incredible quality and amazing durability? Well, Nokia is actually not the only brand that offer those. Back before the smartphone era, almost every phone is strong and hard enough to even break the ground if fall. Are you feeling related? How many of your smartphone screens have gone broken just because you accidentally drop it somewhere?

There was no internet

Wow wow wow! Admit it, how many days can you survive without the internet? As soon as smartphones come with Wi-fi capability, then 2-3G, then 4G LTE like nowadays, our whole societly has changed remarkably. It is the internet that makes an Android smartphone,or mobile phone in general a more desirable device than any other, be it tablet, PC and so on… This is also the reason why we save this fact for the last, as we believe mobile internet is one of the most, if not most important invention that make smartphones as they are we know right now.

The current Android smartphones, or mobile phones in general, is making our lives much more diversed. And it is such a mixed feeling looking back in the past 1o years, knowing how we used to, or how older generations used to live, without the existence of that tiny gadget we all go crazy for.
