Secret of Mana series coming to Nintendo Switch soon!
Square Enix has recently announced that the famous title Secret of Mana will come to the Nintendo Switch soon. For now, it will only be in Japan. The announcement came with a new trailer. In that, it is revealed that the game will be part of the Seiken Densetsu Collection. The collection will be released on June 1. This collection includes the mentioned Secret of Mana (known as Seiken Densetsu 2 in Japan), its prequel Final Fantasy Adventure (also named Mystic Quest in Europe), and the sequel Seiken Densetsu 3.
The announcement came one day after the game’s official Twitter account in Japan revealed a short clip of the game Seiken Densetsu 3 being played on a Nintendo Switch. Contrary to the previous games, Seiken Densetsu 3 was never released outside of Japan, its home country. As for the release on Nintendo Switch, all three games will be included in one game card, and it will be available via the eShop. The Seiken Densetsu Collection price for the Switch will be 4,800 yen (~$43).
For this new release, there will be quite a few added features. There will be a quick save function, where you can save at anytime during gameplay. Also, the music mode will allow you to listen to the soundtracks of any of the three games from the home screen. For the game Final Fantasy Adventure, there will be a special screen-change mode where you can change between many screen sizes while playing. For now, we do not know whether this collection will be released in English yet. However, with Switch’s region-free setting, you can play the Japanese version anywhere in the world!
