Future Samsung phones to sport Notch display, UD fingerprint scanner!

In 2018, various smartphone brands have jumped in the notch display trends. Beginning with the iPhone X, other Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi and Huawei quickly adapted the design on their handsets. Moreover, even Nokia and LG applied this new design into their handsets, starting with the Nokia X6 and LG G7 ThinQ. Up until now, Samsung has been quietly releasing various devices without the notch.

However, this is about to change soon! At their developer conference today, the company has teased the designs that it plans to use for its devices in the near future. Notably, they all have the notch on the display. In details, Samsung introduced a total of three models: t Infinity-U, Infinity-V, and Infinity-O. For now, these are the brands for the displays that they plan to incorporate the notches.

All three design are mostly shaped like the letters used to name them. Furthermore, the U and V models are traditional notches, albeit on the small side compared to what we’ve seen from other companies. Meanwhile, the O display seems to be a cutout of the screen, meant to house the front-facing camera. However, it’s in a weird off-centre position that might put people off even more than usual when it comes to notches. On the other hand, the Korean brand also confirmed today that their future phones could arrive with Qualcomm UD fingerprint scanner. You can find out more details about this HERE!

Conclusion

It looks like the era of notch-less Samsung phones is coming to an end! What do you think about Samsung’s decision? Drop a comment to let us know today!
