Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge are going to be the most powerful smartphones of 2017. This is amazing, as the Korean giant is partnering with Qualcomm, which has confirmed that it is working on its next processor: the Snapdragon 835.
Future Details of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge
Samsung’s upcoming flagship Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge are the devices whose fans are really waiting for after the Note 7’s failures. The devices are set to deliver improved features over their predecessor. Qualcomm recently confirmed that it was developing the next processor – the Snapdragon 835 – which will be the most powerful. More information will be given at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2017 in January, but we can tell you that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge will come with model numbers SM-G950 and SM-G955. This may be a surprise for many, but let us remind you that the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge came out with their model numbers SM-G920 and G925 respectively. Then their successors the S7 and the S7 Edge had the model numbers SM-G930 and SM-G935.
According to reports so far, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge will come in two screen sizes (like the S7 and S7 Edge). The S8 will have a 5.7-inch display, and the S8 Edge will come with a 6.2-inch screen. Besides that, there are also conflicting reports claiming that the devices would have a 5.1-inch curved Super AMOLED display with 2K screen resolution variant, and a 5.5-inch with a 4K panel (806 ppi pixel density) model.
Availability and Price of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge
The flagship devices are expected to come with a 12MP sensor and 13MP sensor fully made by Sony respectively, and a secondary 8MP front-snapper for both. The phones will available next year (2017), and there no official statement is given for its price yet.
