Samsung Galaxy S7 to power Exynos 8890 with HIGHEST Benchmark scores ever
With their current Exynos 7420 chip set, Samsung is doing quite good on their flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. However, the Korean company does not get satisfied with that. They are working hard on and hinting a next generation Exynos 8890. With the codenam M1 Mongoose, the new chipset is said to power Samsung’s upcoming smartphone – Galaxy S7. Samsung Galaxy S7 launch day is rumored to be in February 2016.
Exynos 8890 chip set – the most powerful ?
As usual, months before a flagship from a well known smartphone manufacturer gets release, leaking and rumors will start to flow over. This time, a source on Weibo just revealed some Benchmark scores of this Exnos 8890.
With the processor speed clocked at 2.3 GHz, the Exynos 8890 scored almost 7,000 points in the multi-threaded Geekbench test, and 2294 on the single-core one. This Exynos 8890 Benchmark result is by far the highest mobile score we’ve ever seen.
If the chip set turns out to be what we know by now, it will be a great selling point for Samsung Galaxy S7. This is not the first time ever Samsung impress with premium performance in the smartphone industry. Earlier their Galaxy Note 5 display was crowned the best display ever among smartphone devices.
