Samsung Galaxy S10 camera setup unveiled: what’s new?

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S9 Duo has made its debut, many Samsung fans are now looking forward to what Samsung can bring in for their next flagship. According to recent reports, the best feature of this device is the photography system. In details, Samsung Galaxy S10 camera is going to include a triple-lens system on the back. Today, we finally have more information about this setup.

Firstly, the three camera lenses consist of an ultra-wide, a regular and a telephoto lens. In details, the main sensor is a 12MP sensor (1.4µm pixels) with the dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4). Furthermore, the tele camera appears mostly the same too, aside from the bump to 13MP (compared to Galaxy S9+’s 12MP). Additionally, they all have OIS like before. Meanwhile, the ultra-wide camera is the new addition to the setup.

With 123° field of view, the sensor should be a 12mm lens (in 35mm equivalent). This is even wider than the LG G7 ThinQ lens (16mm). Moreover, it also has the higher resolution than the Asus Zenfone 5z (12mm lens, 8MP sensor). According to the leaked firmware, these four devices codenamed ‘beyond 0’, ‘beyond 1’, ‘beyond 2’, and ‘beyond 2 5G’. Furthermore, there’s a number system where 0 is the smallest sized device, 1 is a mid-sized device, and 2 is the largest phone. Only the top two Galaxy S10 models pack an ultrasound reader while the other comes with an in-house optical reader. You can find out all the details about Samsung Galaxy S10 specs HERE!
