Samsung Galaxy Note 9 launch delays
While the Galaxy Note 8 made its debut in September, the successor Note 9 was rumoured to launch early in mid-July this year. However, according to The Bell, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 launch date has been delayed for two weeks due to last minute change in the design. Here is what has happened. Earlier this month, Vice Chairman of Samsung, Lee Jae-Yong, visited a store to try out some of the competitors’ smartphones. He wanted to see how they feel in the hand and apparently, that gave him an idea. In-depth, the Vice Chairman asked to reduce the front glass thickness by 0.5mm.
Considering that the Galaxy Note 9 was around 1.5 mm initially thicker, the change would be pretty noticeable. Plus, it might have something to do with the in-display fingerprint that everyone is so hyped about. In theory, this will allow the handset to have better fingerprint performance. As a result, Samsung’s execs decided to make a small change that will postpone the launch day for about two weeks. The phone packs a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and an 18:5:9 ratio. Besides that, it gets power from the Exynos 9810 Octa/ Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Besides that, as per the previous news, this phone might come with another 8GB RAM with 512GB of onboard storage.
