Samsung Galaxy M series unveiled the first details
As the end of 2018 is fastly approaching, more details about the 2019 plans of various smartphone brands have made their way online. Previously, we have caught the reports about what Samsung has in store for their fans. In details, the Korean manufacturer is preparing for the arrival of various new handsets. Firstly, they confirm the discontinuation of the lower-midrange Galaxy J series, which will be merged into the more premium Galaxy A series.
For now, the new series handsets have the codename Galaxy A50, A60, A30, A40, A70 and A80 smartphones. In details, the biggest difference between them is the display. While the Galaxy A50 and A60 will come with LCD, the others are going to retain the AMOLED screen. On the other hand, Samsung is going to change its online-only Galaxy On brand to a new Galaxy M line.
According to our sources, there is currently two handsets of this series in the work: SM-M205F and SM-M305F. Moreover, they are supposedly the Samsung Galaxy M20 and M30. Besides, the Galaxy M20 is tipped to offer either 32 or 64GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the later is reportedly coming with 64 and 128GB option. Additionally, they are going to support dual-SIM functionality. Based on what we gather, this is reportedly Samsung’s way to combat the emerging Chinese competition that eats into its bottom line, especially in the Chinese market.
Samsung Galaxy M series release date and price range
For now, we can expect the first device of the Galaxy M series to hit the market in 2019. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy M series price is going to belong in the low-end or mid-range level. As a result, Samsung is going to battle it out in the smartphone world with various devices of the Galaxy M, the Galaxy A and the premium Galaxy S and Note devices.
