Samsung Galaxy Jean: Infinity Display, 24MP camera and Android O!

After the announcement of the duo Galaxy A6 (2018), Samsung has quietly introduced a new device in their home country of South Korea today. Carrying the name Samsung Galaxy Jean, this handset is the re-branded version of Galaxy A6+ (2018) that was released back in May this year. Additionally, the smartphone’s listing on the company’s South Korean website confirms our theory. Besides, the Samsung Galaxy Jean model number also matches the standard Galaxy A6 Plus.

Now, let’s see what this new Samsung phone offers! Firstly, Samsung Galaxy Jean specs sport a larger 6.0-inch AMOLED screen with the resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. Moreover, the new Samsung device also comes with an Infinity Display with thin bezels, and an 18:5:9 ratio. On the other hand, this new Samsung phone carries 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. Moreover, there is a MicroSD card which can expand up to 256GB through the dedicated slot.

Under the hood, the Samsung device takes power from the Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 chipset with Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53. Plus, there is also Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of the operating system, the Samsung Galaxy Jean comes running on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo version. How about the photography system? Samsung Galaxy Jean camera includes a dual 16MP (f/1.7, PDAF) + 5MP (f/1.9, no AF, depth sensor) rear snappers. On the front, we also sport a 24MP (f/1.9), LED flash selfie sensor. Moreover, the Samsung smartphone also has a 3500mAh battery box. Lastly, the Samsung handset is now available in lavender and black colour options.
