Review OnePlus 5T hands-on: 6″ display, dual 20MP+16MP cam
OnePlus 5T is the best-described upgrade version of OnePlus 5, which came out five months ago. In details, OnePlus 5T seems to get the similar design and performance but upgrade in some features. Since the fingerprint reader moves to the back, OnePlus 5T has a bigger 6” AMOLED screen and higher 2160×1080 resolutions. This version comes with the same curved aluminum finish and midnight black color, which is equal to the prior model.
Though OnePlus 5T sports the same chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, alongside 6GB/8GB RAM and unexpandable 64GB/128GB ROM. However, OnePlus has fixed the jelly scrolling effects appeared previously so that OnePlus 5T users now experience smoother and faster performance. Both OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T runs Android Nougat 7.1, but the manufacturer plan to upgrade them to Android Oreo 8.0 next year.
Another big difference comes from OnePlus 5T camera systems. Though OnePlus 5T specs remain dual 16MP+20MP, OnePlus 5T upgrades the apertures for both lens to f/1.7. This change allows the handset to capture photos in low-light performance. Besides, OnePlus 5T’s front camera is same as the prior model’s one with 16MP (f/2.0). Also, OnePlus 5T battery still packs 3300mAh, which is similar to OnePlus 5 battery.
OnePlus 5T release date and price
OnePlus 5T is available now since November 21, 2017, and OnePlus 5T price tag comes at $549 (roughly Rs. 35300).
