Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset benchmark: higher speed, same power usage
The most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset benchmark test has just shown up online with some impressive performance result. Learn more details right below!
Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset benchmark test
Qualcomm has been the most popular brand for smartphone chipset with a nice taste of chipset performance by Qualcomm Reference Design platform. Based on the latest updates, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the latest and most powerful chipset by the brand, has gone under benchmark test and showed results online. Let’s see what the result says about this chipset using new CPU core designs based on Cortex-A75 and A55.
According to our sources, there is four of each CPU in the Snapdragon 845, but the cores no longer split into two separate clusters. The max frequency increased to 2.8GHz (for the big cores), compared to 2.47GHz on the S835 version. Besides, this chip forms on a 10nm LPP process, which allows for slightly higher clock speed with similar power usage. Moreover, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 specs include DynamIQ enabling finer voltage/frequency control.
On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor shows major improvements in both integer and floating point tasks. Meanwhile, the benchmark results by AnandTech say that the CPU scores account for varying clock speeds. Moreover, GFXBench puts the chipset’s new GPU, Adreno 630, and Apple’s latest GPU in the same class. For now, we expect the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S to be the first smartphone equipping Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.
Which chipsets to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 rivals?
For now, the Snapdragon 845 is currently the fastest chipset for Android phones and the most impressive product from Qualcomm. Samsung Exynos 9810 and Huawei Hisilicon Kirin 970 (powered by Mate 10 Pro) are the most competing rivals to S845. How do you feel about the technology developed in smartphones so far?
